Signal News Tasmania was founded in 2025 by Heath Clark in response to the growing concern of partisan influences in the media landscape from all sides of politics. We aim to provide leading edge and engaging content for our followers by providing an uncompromising coverage of politics, economics and social issues. We combine journalistic integrity and the ideas of today to create the media of tomorrow.

Initially developed as a national passion project “Thought Digest Media”, we experimented with all forms of media and tried to understand what Australians wanted.

In November 2025 we were served a defamation notice by Pulse Tasmania after investigating their outlet, the state government and the market as a whole, addressing issues that had been ignored and missed for many years.

Instead of backing down we decided to respond and push further which saw our organization develop into what it is today.

In early 2026 we decided to start up “Signal News”. We aim to not only diversify the market but also be an alternative, true independent voice.
